(Lander, WY) – The Lander Chamber of Commerce will host its Community Awards Luncheon on Friday, March, 4th at the Lander Community and Convention Center.
Hosted for more than two decades by the Lander Chamber, the annual event highlights businesses, individuals, and organizations who have made notable contributions to Lander. Awards are given to recognize longevity, beautification, innovation and creativity, community involvement, and contributions over a lifetime. The Lander Ambassadors also recognize one of their members with its Ambassador of the Year award.
“We’re especially looking forward to the Community Awards Luncheon this year,” said Owen Sweeney, Executive Director of the Lander Chamber, “as we chose last year not to gather in person due to concerns over COVID. This year we’ll be back at the Community Center, and we’re eager to welcome everyone to celebrate the award recipients.”
The keynote speaker for this year’s luncheon will be Central Wyoming College President Brad Tyndall. Dr. Tyndall will be sharing developments being made at CWC’s Lander-based Alpine Science Institute and explaining how the ASI fits into CWC’s broader vision of an agricultural and equine renaissance for Fremont County.
“I get the sense that many folks in Lander don’t know about the neat things CWC is doing right in our own backyard,” said Sweeney. “We want to inform the community and help CWC spread the news about the ASI programs.”
Members of the Lander Chamber receive one complimentary ticket to the luncheon as a membership benefit. (Some memberships receive more than one.) Additional tickets are $30, and guest tickets are available for $35. Table sponsorships are also available. Details on ticket and sponsorship pricing and a registration link are available here.
