    Lander and Riverton Square off in soccer rivalry

    (Fremont County, WY) – The Keeper of the Gold match happens today when Riverton travels to Lander Valley High School to battle the Tigers/Lady Tigers for the Keeper of the Gold traveling Trophy.

    The girls game is set for 4 p.m. Lander is ranked second in the state in class 3A while Riverton is one spot behind them in third. Last year, these two teams saw each other twice with a draw in the regular season and Lander winning in the playoffs.

    The boys game is slated for 6 p.m. Lander is currently ranked fourth in the WyoPreps.com rankings while Riverton sits outside of the polls. Both team have won two out of the last four games they have played each other, since the 2018-2019 season.

    The varsity games will be played at Bill Busch Memorial Stadium, while the junior varsity games will be played on the Lander Valley High School practice field. Boys junior varsity will play at 4 p.m. while the girls will play at 6 p.m.
