    Lander alum leading CWC ladies on the golf course

    For the second consecutive week Lander Valley High School Alum, Macy Jacobson, dominated the course as she finished in first place while leading the Rustlers to a first place finish at Eastern Wyoming.  The Rustlers took the top three spots with Jacobson finishing in first with 81 – 85 and 166, Samalie Prom 2nd with 85 – 90 and 175, and Alexis Cornell 3rd  with 100 – 97 and 197.  Rustlers Shelby Watson finished 5th with 100 – 102 and 202, Nicholynne Garbutt 7th (103 – 108 and 211), Ariana Curtis 10th (122 – 135 and 257) and Makayla Waldock11th (129 – 129 and 258).

    The men edged out Northeastern, Otero and Lamar as they finished in 3rd behind Eastern Wyoming and McCook Community College.  Leaders for the Rustlers were Cameron Carter 11th (77 – 75  and 152), Jorden James  15th (77 – 78 and 155),  James Bisiar 20th (82 –  80  and 162),  Dawson Ritt 22nd (83 – 83  and 166) and Christian Hnilicka 30th (91 – 85 and 176).

    “Our men struggled this week not placing anyone in the top 10. To be competitive we will need to place 3 of 5 in the top 10. Cameron Carter and Jorden James had both rounds in the 70’s and both played pretty well,” said Coach Holgate.

    The golfers will head to Sterling, CO at the end of this week.
