(Fremont County, WY) – Lander soccer teams would host Worland in a conference match-up on Tuesday in a game that would honor six seniors for the Lady Tigers. The six seniors include Kyleigh Balderston, Demi Stauffenberg, Mia Copeland, Abby Copeland, Whitney Hansen, and Emma Goetz.
The Tigers would kick off the double-header against the number one team in Class 3A. After one half, things were all even at zero.
Worland, however, would take over the second half and go on a big run. The streak including the first two goals that came 37 seconds from each other. In the end, the final score would be 9-1.
Lander’s girls would give up two goals in the first half to trail 2-0. No score would come until 18:36 left to go in the second half. In the final six minutes, Lander would complete the comeback including the game-winning goal by Delaney Sullivan which you can see in the video down below.
Lander would win it 3-2 and will host a big game against Cody Thursday. The Lady Tigers play at 3 p.m. and the boys at 5 p.m.
