Lady Rustlers lost lead in contest with Snow College Wednesday night

    (Riverton, Wyo.) – For a third time this season, Central had a halftime lead on Snow only to see it slip away in the second half.   The CWC women lost to Snow 66-60 Wednesday night at Rustler Gym to close out the 2018 portion of their season.    Central led by as many as ten in the first half and led by 4 at the break.  Cental shot only 25% from the field in the second half in the six point loss.  They were 5 of 18 from the three point line.     Snow out-rebounded Central 37 to 23 including 9 offensive boards.

    Australian Freshman Essy Latu came out on fire.  She scored 12 of the first 14 points of the game for Central and had 19 in the first 15 minutes of play.  She ended with a new career high of 26 points.    Paulani Tarawa added 15 with 5 assists.
    Both Rustler teams are now off until January.  The men are 5 and 9 and will play at Miles City, Montana on January 5th.  The women are 6-9 and will go with the men to Casper on January 9th.  The Casper men are ranked #11 in the final poll of 2018 at 15 and 1.
    The next home games for Central are January 12th when Gillette comes to Rustler gym for a Region 9 double header.
