Lady Cougars will play in state championship game for the first time in school history
For the first time, ever, the Wind River Lady Cougar volleyball team will play in the state championship game.
The Lady Cougars knocked off Glenrock in the quarterfinals Thursday in 4 sets, and got past Wright Friday evening in a tough 5 set contest.
Wind River advances to Saturday’s championship game against Sundance at the Casper Events Center. Game time is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.

According to Wyoming sports reporter Kevin Koile, Wind River’s previous best finish at state was 3rd place in 2000.
