Karen Christensen, Wyoming Community Finance – Helping make your financial journey a little smoother

With long-established roots in Fremont County, Wyoming Community Bank is more than experienced bankers, they are your partner, your neighbor, your friend. The people that work there are part of this community just like you and me. They care and it shows in the service they provide. Consumer Loan Officer, Karen Christensen is one of these people.

Karen has worked for the bank since August of 2011. She is currently a Consumer Loan Officer and Branch Manager for Wyoming Community Finance, which is the dedicated consumer lending department of the bank.

I love being able to help customers meet their financial goals.

We took a moment to talk with Karen about her day-to-day and what makes Wyoming Community Bank great.

What does a typical day look like for you?

We don’t have typical days here. We do a lot of different things. We take applications, answer phone calls with questions about loans and payments, and we underwrite the loans in the office. We basically service the loans from start to finish! It’s all about helping the customer get what they need in the quickest, most affordable way. We are here to help!

In your opinion, what makes Wyoming Community Bank a better banking option?

Wyoming Community Bank is a locally-owned bank in Fremont County. It is a great company to work for. We have a very involved Board of Directors, all of which have strong community ties. They invest in us as well as the community.

Tell us a little about yourself.

I am originally from eastern South Dakota. I have 3 kids. I live in Hudson and my kids attend school in Lander, so I represent the Lander/Riverton area. I’m involved in the kids’ activities as much as possible. I enjoy hiking, reading, and being with my family.

Wyoming Community Finance’s expanded consumer lending options include a combination of traditional bank consumer-type lending products with the addition of progressive finance-type lending products and services. This combination serves a wide range of consumer borrowers for our neighbors in and around Fremont County.
