    Just over 3,700 Fremont County residents voted absentee or early in 2018 General Election

    (Lander, Wyo.) – Fremont County Clerk Julie Freese said early voting this mid-term election was strong. She said 3,711 Fremont County residents total voted absentee or early for the 2018 General Election. That compares to 3,882 for the 2016 General Election, and 2,279 for the 2014 General Election.

    For the 2018 Primary Election, there were a total of 2,377 absentee or early votes.

    There were 2,253 absentee ballots mailed or brought in ahead of November 6th.

    1,141 people voted early in Lander and 317 people voted early in Riverton.

    Those numbers compared to 549 Lander voters who voted early in the primary, and 127 Riverton early-voters.

    There were a total of 18,275 total registered voters in the 2018 General Election, compared to 17,537 registered for the Primary Election.

    A few voting glitches were reported with machines in Fort Washakie and Ethete.
