Jerome “Jerry” T. Bergstrom, 79, of Lander, Wyoming died on March 12, 2019 in the Wind River Health Care and Rehab, Riverton, Wyoming. There will be a Memorial Service at a later date. Jerry was born on May 13, 1939 to Simon Russell and Agnes Auger Bergstrom in Superior, Wisconsin.
Jerry spent his early life and attended schools in Duluth, Minnesota. He served in the United States Navy from 1964 to 1968. He later worked at US Steel in Duluth, moving to Lander, Wyoming to work for US Steel, Atlantic City, Wyoming until it closed in 1983. After 1983 until retirement he worked for Sims Corp (road construction).
He was married to Dianne Rogers in Minnesota, they later divorced. He was a member of the American Legion. Jerry liked to garden.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Diana Abbott.
Survivors include his brother, Gene (Betty) Bergstrom; son, Mike (Jordan) Bergstrom; wife, of 37 years, Janice Abbott Bergstrom; daughter, Debbie Abbott (Frank) Gorsuch; son, Dale Abbott; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
