    Safe Kids Fairs: increasing summer fun by increasing summer safety!

    The 2019 Safe Kids Fairs are scheduled in both Riverton and Lander, Wyoming during the month of June.

    Nearly 30 local organizations have partnered to raise awareness of public and children’s safety measures while engaging in summer recreational activities. Various types of demonstrations and activities will provide education aimed at increasing summer fun by increasing summer safety. Topics include: sun safety, water safety, camping safety, seat belt safety, helmet safety, nutrition, and much more.

    A bicycle skills/safety course will be constructed by Injury Prevention Resources. Event attendees can practice their riding skills while learning important information about riding safely in Fremont County. Children’s helmets will be available for fitting and distribution with education relevant to protecting our brains provided by Injury Prevention Resources.

    A free to the public car seat inspection station will take place as well on both dates.

    This event is free and open to the public. Bring your bike and come join the fun!

    Riverton: Thursday June 6th from 10:00 am-1:00 pm – Riverton Branch Library

    Lander: Wednesday June 19th from 10:00 am-1:00 pm – Lander City Park
