Is the Great Pumpkin hiding here?

(Riverton, Wyo.) – The SonHarvest Seasons pumpkin patch north of Riverton on Wyoming Highway 789 is a sight to behold. Not only are there acres and acres of brilliant orange and white pumpkins, there also are plenty of varieties of squash and gourds for the pickin’ too.

When County10.com visited the site Tuesday afternoon, a mom and daughter from Cody and a couple from Ethete were there looking for just the right pumpkin to carve for the upcoming Halloween holiday.

“When I was a school bus driver I brought kids here,” said Echo Youngbauer of Cody. She and her daughter, Farrah Green, “just had to stop.”   “My husband likes to carve big pumpkins, so we got two of them,” Green said.

Meanwhile, Heather Harris and Leo Headley of Ethete were making the rounds of the pasture “looking for the best ones,” Heather said. “And we found two.”

There are pumpkins for carving and making pies from, gourds for decorating, several interesting varieties of squash and some baskets perfect for a fall centerpiece or gift.
