(Laramie, WY) – UPDATE: As of 6:00 PM, WYDOT indicates the estimated open time is 6 to 8 hours away (12:00 AM to 2:00 AM).
Earlier today, The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) closed Interstate 80 between Rawlins and Laramie due to weather conditions.
As of 2:30 PM, WYDOT stated that the estimated time of reopening was five to seven hours (7:30 to 9:30 PM).
WYDOT also advises that “parking on the roadway is prohibited and delays opening the road.”
The closure was due to multiple crashes reported across I-80 Wednesday morning caused by the windy, snowy conditions.
WYDOT will update travel conditions first here and by calling 511.
