In loving memory, William McLaughlin

    William Arthur McLaughlin 81 of Riverton, Wy and died on May 29th of 2024 in Buffalo, Wy.
    William was born in Bozeman, Mt on September 25th 1942 to William and Myrtle McLaughlin. He was the oldest of 5 children. He joined the Army in 1963 as a truck driver for two years. After the Army he married the love of his life Rita “Parmly” McLaughlin on February 25th 1967. They had 6 children. He worked on the CA Ranch in Montana during this time. In 1977 he packed up his family and moved to Wyoming. He started working at Western Nuclear in Jeffery City, Wyoming. After the mine closed he went to work in road construction.
    William was a volunteer firefighter in Jeffery City and once we moved to Riverton he was a volunteer EMT and A member of the Fremont County Search and Rescue. After retirement he opened up his small engine repair shop.
    William loved going hunting, fishing and camping with his family. He also enjoyed square dancing and polka music and watching old western movies and the NEWS. He loved harassing anyone that could take a joke.
    William is survived by his son Lesley McLaughlin of Mississippi, His daughter Melissa “Tom” Lang of Cedar Hill, Missouri, his son Dustin “DeAnna” McLaughlin of Riverton, Wyoming, his daughter Kimberley “William” Jackson of Riverton, Wyoming. His daughter-in-law Mairia McLaughlin of Casper, Wyoming. And his 4 siblings Dick, Carl, Helen and Ed. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
    William is preceded in death by his Wife Rita “Parmly” McLaughlin and His son Joseph McLaughlin and his son William M. McLaughlin. His granddaughter Brenna Nelson. His parents William and Myrtle Mclaughlin.
