In loving memory, Wesley Weekly

Long time Lander Wyoming resident Wesley J. Weekly passed away on May 10, 2024 with his family at his bedside. Born in Ft. Collins, Colorado on November 3, 1941 to Oliver & Leola Weekly, then growing up in Cheyenne, Wyoming with 3 brothers Ivan, Donald, and Theodore. Wes met his wife Floye during their high school years in Cheyenne. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in July 2023.

Wes attended the University of Wyoming getting a Master’s Degree and was a high school coach & teacher in Douglas and New Castle, Wyoming. Wes moved his family to Lander in 1973 where he & Floye owned Weekly’s Interiors for almost 40 years.

Wes enjoyed the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, and sitting on his deck at the family cabin they built together in 1977-78. Wes would spend as much time as possible at the cabin during the summer. Wes enjoyed participating and watching different sports: golf, football, basketball, snowmobiling, and wrestling.

Wes is survived by his wife Floye; two daughters: Regan Price (Jeff) and Wendy Reed (Leroy); 3 grandchildren: Brandon Reed, Jake Reed, and Hannah James; 4 great-grandchildren: Wyatt Reed, Ashlynn James, Leland James, and Emma James. Wes had special relationships with his grandchildren giving a nickname to each and they called him “Big Guy”.

Though we mourn your loss, we also celebrate the incredible life you lived. With love in our hearts, Wes/Dad/Big Guy, you will be missed and always remembered.
