STERLEEN FAITH HILL
Angels came to guide Sterleen Faith Hill home on August 15th, 2021. Sterleen, 53, was born in August 30th, 1967, to Stanley Hill and Bernice Wadda in Lander, WY, and raised by aunt and uncle Francis and Dan Tillman till age 18. She was an Eastern Shoshone tribal member and attended school in Fort Washakie. Sterleen lived most of her life in the Fremont County area before retiring to Thermopolis in 2019. After bravely enduring multiple illnesses, her journey ended at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, WY.
Sterleen had many talents and interests, including making beautiful Native American dolls, as well as an assortment of other craft items. She loved all holidays and had a great imagination to go with a special knack for decorating. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, attending powwows, concerts, festivals, and car shows. She also enjoyed visiting casinos, museums, and historic places. Sterleen loved animals, nature, and movies of all genres. She was a good cook; her favorite foods included Indian tacos, spaghetti, shrimp, and onion rings. Sterleen was a kind, patient, generous, forgiving, and loving lady who was loved and will be missed by many. Although she never achieved her dreams of seeing the ocean or visiting Disney World, she was passionate about life and made the best of all situations, in spite of the many obstacles she faced.
Passing before her were grandfather William Wadda, grandmother Jenny Barney, father Stanley Hill, mother Bernice Wadda, uncle Dan Tillman, aunt Francis Tillman, sister Marion Joyce Wadda, brother Picard Wadda, cousin sisters Angel and Regina Hill, and cousin brothers Wilford Hill Sr. and Stanford Hill Sr. Also Linford, Connie, and Viola Tillman, and first husband Clyde Wallowingbull.
Here to remember Sterleen with love are long-time companion Jay Olson and cousins Pearl, Donna, Linda, and Steven Tillman. Daughters Lucinda and Jessica Wallowingbull. Grand children Enrique Chavez Jr. and Moka Ann Mcleod. Cousin nephews Mike Hill and Wilson Hill. The Jake Hill family, Beaney Hill& family, Edith Hill& family, and Teresa Hill& family. The families of Sheila Washington, Jenny Washington, Shannon Hill, Picard Wadda Jr, and Garrett Wadda. Also the families of James Stacy, Bo Stacy, Rachel Yonastrosa, RodeenIngawanup, Charlene Charging, and Bilinda Snyder. Please forgive us if we have forgotten anyone.
