On the morning of October 25th 2021 Lorie Ann Reece of Riverton Wyoming peacefully lost her very brief battle with cancer. She was 58 years old. Cremation has taken place. A pot luck dinner and Celebration of Life will be held at the Fremont County Heritage Hall in Riverton Wyoming on January 8th, 2022 at 2pm. All are welcome to come.
Lorie was born on July 28th, 1963 to Donald and Carolyn Johnson. She grew up in the Riverton and Shoshoni areas and attended school in both, where she met and married the love of her life Joseph Lee Reece. She spend the majority of her adult life mastering the art of serving others, having worked over 30 years as a waitress. Many may remeber her from working at the Coffee Cup Café, The Silverspoon Café or Jb’s as these were a few of her favorite places where she enjoyed caring for her “regulars”. She held a deep love and amazing talent of creating and crafting beautiful beadwork and handmade photo albums for those she cherrished most. However, the times that brought her the most joy were spent laughing with the ones closest to her heart.
Her family that were eagerly awaiting her arrival include: Her beloved father Donald Glenn Johnson, beautiful mother Carolyn Ann Johnson, Grandparents Harry and Margret Hilzer, Grandparents Charles and Florence Johnson, Beloved Aunt Jo Ross, Uncle’s Jim Ross and George Bartlett, and very recently passed cousin Patsy Watt.
Her loving family left behind with broken hearts include: her only Brother Glenn Johnson of Riverton, her only sister Corrina May Blake of Riverton, ex-husband Joseph Lee Reece of Riverton, loving daughters Kristina May Ankrom and Kerri Kay Reece both of Riverton, extremely loved grandchildren Ronnie Joe Reece, David Lee Jones, Zachary Joe Malone and Donivan James Reece all from Riverton, many beautiful nieces and nephews and her one and only Great-Grandson Ryder Joe Reece
