JoAn Maxine Styer Cecrle, age 89, passed away February 11, 2022 at Westward Heights care center, Lander Wyoming.
She was an excellent homemaker; loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her first priority was caring for her family. She loved cooking, her flower gardens, and oil painting. She volunteered at her church, working with children, until health prevented it. Through all life’s struggles her love for Jesus Christ never wavered. She attended of The First Nazarene Church of Lander, WY.
She was born November 26, 1932 to the late Francis Robert Styer and Lavone “Pansy” Horn Styer, in Goshen Indiana. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Theodore Styer and her sisters Shirley Musser and Marie Begly.
Mrs. Cecrle is survived by her husband, Harold E. Cecrle, of Lander, Wyoming. She is survived by her 3 children and their spouses: Janet Ward and her husband Larry Ward, Robert Cecrle and his wife Theresa, and Judy Cecrle. Her 8 grandchildren are Tabitha Naughton and husband Chris, Rev. Jonathan Ward and wife Ashley, Rev. David Ward and wife Holly, Robert (Bob) Cecrle and wife Jessica, William (Bill) and wife Sunshine, Suzy Scholar and husband Tom, Ivan Erikson, Sonya Snow and husband Will. Her 23 great-grandchildren are Lianna Naughton, Michael Naughton, Jeremiah Naughton, Benjamin Naughton, Rebekah Delaney and husband Chandler, Joshua Ward, Caleb Ward, Elizabeth Ward, Ella Ward, Zoe Ward, Dawson Ward, Robert (Bobby Lee) Cecrle and wife Aspen, Caleb Cecrle, Rebecca Florquist and her husband Joel, Eric Scholar, Bobby “Shawn” Scholar, Kalee Allen, Daisy Snow, Mary Snow, John Snow, and Taylor Snow. She has one great-great grandchild, Hazel Cecrle,.
A Celebration of Life will be held February 25, 2022, at 3 pm, at the First Nazarene Church of Lander, Wyoming (201 Amoretti St, Lander Wyoming). Her grandson Rev. Jonathan Ward will officiate. A meal and fellowship time will follow the service in the church fellowship hall. There will be a private burial surface at a later date.
