Hubert Gregg LeBeau
Long time Wind River Reservation resident and United States Marine Corps Veteran, H. Gregg LeBeau died Monday, October 23, 2023 at his home in Mill Creek, Wyoming. He was 81 years old.
Services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 25 at the family home at 176 Trosper Lane in Mill Creek, Wyoming.

H. Gregg LeBeau was born on September 12, 1942 in Dupree, South Dakota to Edward and Ethel (Kensler) LeBeau. He belonged to the Two Kettle Band – Oohenumpa Tiospaye. His Lakota name is Iyoyanmya – Starlight.
He married Rosalie Alicia Sage on September 1, 1970 in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Mr. LeBeau was involved in education, equality, advocacy and volunteerism for the people of Wind River. He enjoyed mowing his lawn and he loved to walk. He had a passion for helping people and he was able to do that in the social work field. He also had a passion for watching his daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren participate in sports. He was able to conduct his final watch at this year’s Wyoming Indian Run for the Mocassins Cross Country Invite.
He helped to care for and successfully raise his seven daughters. He worked hard to make sure they were taken care of and loved.
As a young high school graduate Gregg enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on August 25, 1960 and served until August 24, 1964.
As a parent, he served on School District #14’s School Board from June 1984 to November 1985.
Gregg wore many titles: husband, dad, brother, son, uncle, friend, Veteran, and, perhaps his favorite title, Lala.
Mr. LeBeau is survived by his seven daughters; Kimberly LeBeaux of Billings, MT, Alanita White (Steve, Sr.) of Fort Washakie, Cheri LeBeau of Ethete, Andrea LeBeau of Fort Washakie, Elizabeth LeBeaux (Erron) of Ethete, Crystal C’Bearing (Vidale, Jr.) of Riverton, Emery’l LeBeau (Norman) of Mill Creek; one adopted son, Arlen LeBeau, Jr.; 24 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; one sister, Carol LeBeau-Bradley of Monroe, OR ; and one brother, Jule LeBeau of Yakima, WA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Ethel LeBeau; his wife, Rosalie Sage; brothers, Emery, Kenneth E., Kenneth A., and Merton “Elmo” LeBeau; sister, Emery’l Jean LeBeau; and grandchildren Shylon and Brandi Alden.
