    In loving memory, Charles (Joe) Gattis

    Charles Joseph Gattis (Joe) was born October 12, 1955 to Charles and Nancy Gattis in Rawlins WY.
    Joe passed away on January 5th 2022 at Wind River Rehabilitation in Riverton WY.
    Joe had 3 brothers Arlen (Susan) Gattis, Troy (Linda) Gattis, Kevin (Gretchen) Gattis and 1 sister Kelly (Bryan) Shearer.
    Joe started school in Lander, Wyoming where he attended until 2nd grade when his parents moved the family to Jackson Wyoming where they started a construction business and he graduated high school from there.
    He grew up rodeoing and skiing as a kid, even with his physical limitations he participated in many activities. One of his favorite things was archery and he spent many hours learning that skill.
    Joe had a passion early on to learn scripture and follow God. After High School Joe went to a Bible college in La Grange Wyoming which he truly loved and he graduated from. He spent most of his adult life reading the Bible and living by the commandments of God. It truly was what made him happy and he was an inspiration in his Faith.
    Joe was part of the CES program in Riverton for many years and he enjoyed the people who helped him there.
    He was also a janitor at Walmart for 15 years which he was very proud of and he loved working there.
    He has lived at Wind River Rehabilitation in Riverton Wyoming for almost the last 8 years and the people there have been very good to him and he loved them all.
    Joe was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Joe & Audrey Bodan and Chuck & Geraldine Gattis. Parents Charlie & Nancy Gattis and brother-law Bryan Shearer.
    Joe is survived by his brothers and sister and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
    Per his wishes cremation has taken place and the family will have a memorial service at a later date.
    Memorials may be made in Joe’s name to Help for Health Hospice in Riverton WY
