In loving memory, Camille L. Shively

Camille L. Shively, 58- Peacefully passed in Idaho Falls, Idaho on November 3, 2021 from lifelong health issues.

Camille was born September 11, 1963 in Lima. Ohio to Daniel J. Shively and Connie J. Bailey Hime.

She was the first born of four children living our early childhood years in Fryburg Ohio. Growing up we traveled to Wyoming several years in search of the mountain lifestyle and in 1973 our family journeyed to Wyoming and called Lander home. Camille graduated from LVHS in 1981 staying close to many classmates throughout the years and participating in reunion planning. She loved the outdoors, camping, fast cars, hotrods, collecting Budweiser memorabilia, The Redskins football team, growing irises to share. She loved her niece and nephews so much and the rest of her family.

Camille at the age of 13 was diagnosed with childhood Diabetes requiring daily insulin injections. She managed well until the end of 1998 when she went into kidney failure and was placed on the transplant list. Feb 14, 1995 she received her gift of life Kidney and Pancreas from a Donor. In 2001 the kidney rejected and she then received another gift kidney from our brother DJ (Dan). Camille was a pioneer with her transplants as the surgeons at the time tried a new procedure with the Pancreas and surpassed the years expected as she managed these well over the years. Camille steadfastly promoted the Gift of Life/Donate Life Wyoming, having been an advocate for many years. It was her message for all to be a Donor and selflessly give the gift of life to those waiting on the transplant list.
