Hundreds of local families receive ‘Christmas Baskets’ Sunday

Around 250 local families received baskets of food and gifts for children from the Christmas Basket Program, a community-wide initiative.

Today, December 20th dozens of volunteers gathered at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Lander and loaded up the Christmas Baskets. Deliveries could be made to residents in both Lander and Hudson. Others from across Fremont County came to pick-up their baskets of food and gifts for kiddos.

The Lander Elks B.P.O.E. #2317, as well as community members, spent yesterday wrapping and organizing the gifts donated by community members and businesses.

In addition, First Stop Help Center Director Deanna Trumble and volunteers put together the food baskets for families.

Thank you for all of your hard work in making this happen!
