(Lander, WY) – The Popo Agie Conservation District partnered with the University of Wyoming Extension and the Lander Valley Farmer’s Market to put on a mini garden expo in City Park on Saturday, June 5th.
Vendors of all varieties were present, ranging from metalwork creations, art, crafts, farm fresh foods, baked goods, raffles, to how-to creation stations.
Even the horses wanted to see what all the fuss was about.
Event co-organizer Popo Agie Conservation District had a raffle, and also has a pretty great lineup of free summer workshops on June 12th at the CWC Alpine Science Institute in Sinks Canyon.
District Manager Kelsey Beck is very excited for folks to check out the classes, but space is limited, so be sure to check out the group’s website to read more about the available courses and how to register.
In line with their creative spirit, Maker Space 307 had a booth set up teaching folks how to make their own bug spray.
“I feel like Julia Child!” joked Maker Space Director Lorre Hoffman as she mixed the all natural ingredients.
Local musicians The Low Water String Band provided some much welcome live music to the appreciative crowd, capping off a great day in the park.
