Hilda Girten, 73, of Lander, WY passed away on November 18, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 26, 2018 in the Chapel of Mount Hope in Hudson’s Funeral Home located in Lander, WY. Funeral Services will start at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at the Chapel of Mount Hope in Hudson’s Funeral Home.
Hildegard “Hilda” Annemarie Girten was born on January 6, 1945 to Josef Struna and Albina (Konig) Struna in Rann, Austria. Hilda at age 6, immigrated to the United States with her parents and siblings from Rann, Austria arriving at Ellis Island on December 10, 1951. She married Timothy Girten on April 17, 1969.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Josef and Albina Struna; brother, John Struna of Lander; and two siblings from the old country.
Survivors include her husband, Timothy Girten of Lander WY; daughter, Inge (John) Strom of Hudson WY; sons, Steve Struna of Lander WY, Troy Girten of Lander WY, Timothy L (Gena) Struna of Loveland CO; brothers, Ernst (Trudy) Struna of Brookfield CT, Frank (Margret) Struna of Graham, WA and Albert Struna of Lander WY; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
