A memo released this evening, December 1st, by Public Works Director Kyle Butterfield stated, “Hertz Rent-A-Car informed staff on November 20, 2020 that it would vacate RIW and terminate its lease on November 30, 2020.”
Locally owned Priceless Car Rental is now seeking to fill the vacancy, according to the memo. “Priceless currently provides ground transportation options to the community from an office located in town. It now would like to establish a fixed presence at RIW and provide more immediate service to patrons at the airport.”
A Lease and Concession Agreement has been drafted and presented to the Riverton City Council for their consideration as a potential addition to their regular meeting tonight.
“Both parties desire to commence operations at RIW as timely a manner as possible to avoid a prolonged gap in ground transportation service at the airport,” according to the memo.
