#helpatourist: Wind River Visitors Council Requests Bids to Guide Sportsman Journalist

An exciting aspect of the work the Wind River Visitors Council does to promote travel to Wyoming’s Wind River Country/Fremont County is hosting writers, photographers, videographers and social media influencers. As a result, they share personal, unique stories that are tailored to specific audiences around the world.

This September, Dan Armitage, writer and radio personality, will visit Wyoming’s Wind River Country for an antelope hunt, upland bird hunting, and fishing. This media tour will give Armitage and his readers and listeners an understanding of the breathtaking scenery, abundant wildlife, outstanding service, and friendly character of Wind River Country. He will share his experiences on Buckeye Sportsman Radio Network (30 stations across Ohio and West Virginia and a podcast at buckeyesportsman.net), and potentially publish articles in Rocky Mountain Game & Fish, Upland Almanac, and Salmon-Trout-Steelheader magazines.

The Wind River Visitors Council seeks permitted guides for Armitage’s itinerary Sept. 12–19 in Fremont County. He will spend the first four days of the trip bow hunting for antelope and the next four days on a “cast and blast” adventure of upland bird hunting and fishing. Interested guides should contact Casey Adams ([email protected] and (919) 323-9198) at the Wind River Visitors Council for complete details and RFP documents. Bids are due by July 27.
