#HeadsUp: Watch for pedestrians at Rails-to-Trails Pathway, Main Street intersection

This #headsup is brought to you by Bailey’s Tire and Auto Service.

(Riverton, WY) – The flashing pedestrian crossing sign at Main Street and the Rails-to-Trails intersection (N. 1st Street) was hit by a vehicle the afternoon of September 24th.

WYDOT Public Relations Specialist Cody Beers shared with County 10 today that the sign will be replaced and encourages everyone to be diligent in watching for pedestrians.

“For most of us, the single-most dangerous thing that any of us do in a day is to drive a vehicle,” Beers wrote. “Buckle up, be aware and drive safely.”

The sign was mounted to the pedestrian refuge median that was installed as part of the Main Street ADA project.
