    #HeadsUp: Riverton Police Department also reporting increase in phone scams

    (Riverton, WY) – In addition to the recently reported FCSO phone scams, the Riverton Police Department (RPD) also issued a release concerning scam phone calls earlier this week.

    We have recently been made aware of a phone scam going around our community!

    The caller states that his name is Sargent Scott Combes of the Riverton City Police Department and that he has a federal warrant for your arrest (or something similar).

    The caller ID even shows up as RPD: 307-856-4891. Please be aware that there is no Scott Combes at the Riverton Police Dept.

    If you think you have been contacted by a scam, refuse to give any information, hang up, block the number, and file a complaint with the FTC (online or call 1-877-382-4357).
