Roughly 2 million Ford F150 trucks are being recalled due to a seat belt issue.
The recall was announced Tuesday and applies to both Regular Cab and SuperCrew Cab trucks made between 2015 and 2018.
According to Ford Motor Company, the problem is with part of the driver and front passenger seat belts. A pretensioner that attaches to the base of the belt is prone to explosion in a crash.
The company said, “”Ford’s investigation found that some front seat belt pretensioners can generate excessive sparks when they deploy,”
