The National Weather Service office in Riverton has issued an elevated fire behavior warning for central and southern parts of Wyoming, including most of Fremont County.

Temperatures in the lower elevations of County 10 will reach the upper 90’s Thursday and high temps will reach the low-to-mid 90’s for at least the next 5 days.

Use extreme caution doing any activity that could create a fire. Avoid parking vehicles in areas with dense vegetation, controlled burns, using fireworks, and extinguish cigarette butts properly. Campers and those making campfires should use extreme caution while doing so, and make sure the fire is properly and completely extinguished before leaving the area.
