The City of Lander issued a Public Notice on their Facebook Page today regarding additional water usage for some residential customers in order to avoid frozen pipes.
Because the frost level in Lander has reached almost 4 feet deep, the City is allowing “all residential customers 5/8” meter (not trailer parks or apartment houses) to run an additional 2,000 gallons of water per billing period starting January, 25 2018.
The City of Lander says that a “stream of water the size of a pencil lead is all that is necessary in most cases.”
