The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has moved the regular April 15th tax payment deadline to July 15th this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The three month extension doesn’t change the obligation to file returns by April 15th according to the Wall Street Journal, but it does allow extra time for those who wish for more time to pay.
