Halloween was relatively quiet for local law enforcement agencies

Halloween, for the most part, was pretty quiet for RPD, LPD, and Fremont County Sheriffs.

Four people were arrested, three by RPD and one by LPD. Three of the four were served with warrants, and one arrest by RPD was for public intoxication.

Between evening and overnight hours (5:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.) the Riverton Police Department responded to a large house party, two citizen assists, one suspicious person, one fight, an intrusion alarm, and a vehicle accident at the intersection of Main and Major.

Fremont County Sheriff’s had one suspicious person call, a harassment call, a domestic dispute situation, and a handful of animal-related cases such as barking dogs, and livestock on the road.

Lander Police responded to an accident at South 2nd and Garfield and a vehicle vs. deer collision, as well as an iPhone theft report and a shoplifting incident at a grocery store. One person reported an attempted burglary, but nothing was reported stolen according to a media release.

The majority of Halloween calls appeared to be for adults, as there were no juvenile problems listed in any of the three media reports.
