Governor Mead’s office issued the following statement Saturday afternoon.
Governor Matthew H. Mead, pursuant to President Donald Trump’s Proclamation issued today, has ordered both the U.S. and State of Wyoming flags be flown at half-staff statewide in honor and tribute to the memory of President George H.W. Bush for a period of 30 days from the day of his death.
Mead also spoke briefly about the 41st President’s passing, “President George H.W. Bush was an extraordinary patriot and public servant. His dedication to family and his absolute courtesy to all, serve as a model for all Americans. Carol and I send our condolences to his family.”
