Governor Gordon dedicates prayer breakfast to military and first responders

    Governor Mark Gordon is dedicating the 2019 Governor’s Prayer Breakfast, scheduled for February 20 in Cheyenne, in honor of the military, first responders, and all those who have devoted their lives to safety in our communities and country.

    The guest speaker is former U.S. Navy SEAL commander Rorke T. Denver. The breakfast will be held from 7 – 8:30 a.m. at Little America Hotel and Resort in Cheyenne. Tickets to the event are $25. Seating is limited. RSVP by February 13 at For more information, email: [email protected].

    The Governor’s Prayer Breakfast is the state version of the National Prayer Breakfast held annually in Washington D.C. The National Prayer Breakfast was inaugurated in 1952 by members of the United States Congress as a time of dedication. The breakfast is entirely non-denominational and non-partisan.


    Denver has run every phase of training for the U.S. Navy SEALs and led special-forces missions in the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and other international hot spots. He starred in the hit film Act of Valor, which is based on true SEAL adventures.
