Patrick Adam Lawson, Executive Manager of Wind River Internet and County 10’s very own Will Hill sat down on Wednesday to answer tech questions from viewers and discuss Cord Cutting.
In broadcast television, cord-cutting refers to the pattern of viewers, referred to as cord-cutters, canceling their subscriptions to multichannel subscription television services available over cable or satellite, dropping pay television channels or reducing the number of hours of subscription TV viewed in response to competition from rival media available over the Internet. This content is either free or significantly cheaper than the same content provided via cable.
Tech questions from the audience kept the conversation flowing. Questions ranged from “With sling tv, are they live or the next day?” to “Where in Fremont County is Wind River Internet service available?”
