#Activate10: Fundraiser for Shoshoni High School student planned for December 5th
Our community is large and wildly diverse, which is at the same time our strength and our weakness. #Activate10 is a movement seeking to increase communication between individuals and organizations across Fremont County and to promote positive action in our communities.
15-year-old Garrett Neil was injured in a farm accident earlier this month and was life-flighted to Denver for medical treatment. Tri-Valley 4H is sponsoring a chili dinner and silent auction fundraiser for the Neil family on December 5th from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Fremont County Fairgrounds in Heritage Hall for $5 per person.
Garrett is back from Denver but has a long road to recovery and continued medical treatment, Misti Lopez from Tri-Valley 4H shared. This money will go to the family to help offset costs from traveling back and forth to Denver. “Any and all donations are appreciated.”
With the help of her family, Misti plans to make the chili; and the on the ground logistics during the event are taken care of with the help of 4H Clubs and Shoshoni students, Misti noted.
A recent addition to the auction items includes two rifles that will be auctioned live at the fundraiser. However, they are still in need of silent auction items.
If you would like to donate to the silent auction or to the family, please give Misti a call at 307-851-4442. The most up-to-date event details can be found here.
