Fundraiser, food, handmade goods and much more on Saturday

(Riverton, WY) – The 3rd annual Downtowners Fall Harvest Festival filled downtown Riverton with vendors, food trucks, activities, and events which included things like a chili cook-off, scholarship fundraiser and a cakewalk.

Given the expanse of the event, it’s hard to estimate the number of attendees, however, there was a steady flow of community members from 2-6 pm on Saturday.

One of the bigger events was the Riverton Ambassadors’ RHS Scholarship Community Fundraiser for their brand new We R Riverton Scholarship. This was created as a way to help encourage youth to volunteer within our community.

The fundraiser activities included a cornhole tournament which raised $200, a silent auction, 5k fun run/walk and more. In total, $4,000 was raised for the scholarship; the ambassadors have set a goal to raise $10,000 for this school year.

There were five entries in this year’s chili cook-off and the people’s choice winners are:
    1st – Heather Tutton
    2nd – Brian Sprague
    3rd – Jessica Paul
