    Frontier graduations, RHS handbook, and more to come before the Riverton School Board on May 28

    (Riverton, WY) – The Fremont County School District #25 Board of Trustees will convene for their regular meeting on Tuesday, May 28, at 7 p.m. in the Board Chambers located at 121 North 5th Street. This meeting is open to the public and can be watched via YouTube.

    The evening will include Frontier Academy Graduations for Bridgetta Kathrine Brown, Ilana Rose Lincoln, Jenisa Shay Long, and Hunter Lee McOmie.

    The Board will act on nine action items, which are as follows:

    The Superintendent is recommending the Board approve the out-of-state travel request for the Riverton High School FFA students to travel in October 2024 to Indianapolis, Indiana for the National FFA Convention as per policy.

    CWC-BOCHES Program Director Mathew Johnson is requesting the Board approve the 2024-2025 CWC-BOCHES budget.

    Kristy Richmond is requesting the Board approve the Riverton High School Student &
    Parent Handbook for the 2024-2025 school year.

    Ed McPherson is recommending the Board approve Change Order No. 3 with Recycled Materials, LLC.  The change order is for a substantial completion date change to July 31, 2024 for the TAC Abatement & Demolition Project. This is for the time extension only; no additional funding is requested.

    The Superintendent is recommending the Board approve the farm lease with Wind River Landscape Company for a term of seven years is reasonably necessary and of definable advantage to the District, to ensure continuity of best farming practices on the farm and the development and implementation of agricultural education classes in the District and to the promote the education of students in the District as a whole.

    Matthew Gonzales is requesting the Board award a bid to Fremont Motor Company of
    Riverton, WY for the purchase of up to seven 2024 Ford Expedition XL vehicles at
    $66,277.82 each for a total bid of no more than $463,944.74.  This purchase is through
    ARP ESSER. This was the only bid received.

    Ed McPherson is recommending the Board approve Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Service Agreement with Nelson Architects for the TAC Abatement & Demolition Project.  The amendment is for an allocation of $6,635.00 for additional Civil Engineering re-design and construction administration for this project.

    The Superintendent is recommending the Board accept the resignation of Jackson SPED Social Worker Brian Beutler effective at the end of the 2023-2024 school year; Willow Creek 3rd Grade Teacher Kellen Freedman, effective June 7, 2024, at the end of the 2023-2024 summer school session.

    The Superintendent is recommending the Board offer a contract to Nathaniel Esposito as a Rendezvous SPED Teacher; Trisha Brown as a Special Services Case Manager; Morgan Eliason as a Special Services Case Manager; Kylee Barton as a Jackson Kindergarten Teacher; and Katherine Spletzer as a Jackson 1st Grade Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.
