#fremontfamilies: The heat will be back, but there’s always a way to cool off!
#fremontfamilies is a series designed to celebrate local life together with loved ones. This #fremontfamilies story is brought to you by SageWest Health Care.
The slightly cooler weather this week may be a welcome change for some around the county, but the heat will be back before long.
There are lots of ways to beat the heat, but one of the most popular in around here is taking a dip in one of our local reservoirs. Last weekend we caught up with some local families cooling off in Boysen.
Caiden Phisterer and Megan Dykman were cooling their heels, ankles and calves at the Reservoir’s Sand Mesa outlet on Sunday. On the other side of the lake, at Trout Bay, the Duran Family was having a blast playing in the water and cooling their feet as well. On Monday, the Brown family was spotted romping around on the north beach at Ray Lake.
The high temperatures are forecasted in the mid to high 80s for the rest of this week and as the summer weather continues those beaches will continue to be popular.
Did you know that heat is the number one weather-related killer in the U.S.? Heat overexposure is especially dangerous for children and the elderly. For some great summer safety tips check out this article from SageWest Health Care.
Let’s keep our #fremontfamilies cool and safe this summer!
