Lander Fremont Therapy Group would like you to meet Kim Asbell!
Kim Asbell grew up in Lander and feels fortunate to be treating community members of her hometown. Kim has been with Fremont Therapy Group since 1998 and is an active member of the Lander community.
During her 21 year career, Kim has honed outstanding clinical skills and helped countless patients recover and live more active lifestyles. In the clinic setting, Kim works with patients across a wide age range. She is a certified aquatic specialist, and utilizes our in-clinic therapy pool to supplement patient treatment.
Kim also works extensively with the students of Fremont County School Districts, focusing on meeting gross motor milestones in the areas of strength, balance, and co-ordination as well as sensory processing issues.
Kim explains, “My career in physical therapy has brought so much joy to my life. I revel in meeting patients in the clinic setting and being involved in their recovery. In addition, I love watching the gains school age children make to ultimately live more active, healthy, and fun lives.”
Kim earned her Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Utah. Prior to PT school, Kim studied at the University of Wyoming, completing a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Food Management.
Off duty, Kim takes advantage of Wyoming’s abundant outdoor adventures at her family cabin with three children, Ethan, Claire and Grace, and hunting dogs. In addition, Kim enjoys time with her extended family in the area, develops healthy recipes, has fun with Zumba, raises chickens, and is involved with her church.
