    Fremont Sheriff’s Office releases September Commission report

    (Lander, WY) – Sheriff Ryan Lee of the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) gave the monthly report Commision Report at the September 14th Fremont County Commissioners’ meeting.

    In total, the Sheriff’s Office has responded to 5,400 calls for service this year.

    There were a total of 166 bookings for the month of August, down nine from last month.

    Of these bookings, 62 were for RPD, 48 for FCSO, 42 for LPD, 10 for WHP, and 1 for USM.

    The current inmate population sits at 175 in house, and 186 total in custody. This includes two juvenile occupants, one in home confinement, one in the State Hospital, and six “out-of-county adults.”

    In terms of sentencing demographics, of the 178 in house inmates, 52 have been sentenced, and 100 are pre-adjudicated, with 61% awaiting disposition in District Court, 25% in Riverton Circuit Court, 9% in Lander Circuit Court, 2% in Lander Municipal Court, and 1% in Riverton Municipal Court.

    So far there have been 11 search and rescue missions for this fiscal year, compared to 16 this time last year. Of these missions, air resources were utilized five times, and there has been three fatalities.

    There were a total of 2,177 Emergency Dispatch Center calls for the month of August, with 1,349 emergency 911 calls answered.

    As an update to last month’s COVID outbreak, there are currently only three inmates quarantined.
