Fremont Orthopaedics, P.C. is a busy orthopaedic practice with clinics in Lander and Riverton. We treat a diverse patient population of all ages with a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. We are currently hiring a medical assistant (MA) to work at both of our clinic locations. The MA functions as the primary clinical support to our physicians. Duties include performing and documenting medical intake and vital signs, basic wound care, and assisting with procedures such as injections, bracing, and casting. The MA schedules surgeries and conducts insurance preauthorizations for diagnostics and procedures. The MA assists the physician with the education of patients and families on their injuries and treatments.
Medical assistant certification preferred; 2 years of relevant clinical experience considered. Orthopaedic experience is desirable. Excellent patient care manner and strong communication skills required. Computer proficiency necessary; EHR experience preferred. Candidate must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with meticulous attention to detail, organization, and a pleasant demeanor. This position does require regular travel between the Lander and Riverton clinics; no weekends or call duty required.
