The 2019 Fremont County Community Wildfire Protection Plan is a comprehensive tool to help identify wildfire risk to wildland and urban areas according to Ron Wempen Fremont County Wildfire – Hazardous Fuels Coordinator.
Vegetation changes in Fremont County have been one of the largest updates in the 2019 plan. Wempen gave the example of cheatgrass being invasive in Fremont County and fire fuel.
