District Projects Assistant Supervisor – Rewarding career in invasive species management preserving ecosystems, improving agriculture, and educating the public.
Lead a crew in remote and beautiful landscapes of western Wyoming while providing important yet challenging work in invasive weed management. Apply your knowledge and experience communicating invasive and pest species issues and organization accomplishments to the public. Organize and develop biological weed control programs for integrated weed management strategies.
Fremont County Weed and Pest District has been limiting the economic and environmental impacts of invasive species and agricultural pests since 1973. Our organization was recently recognized by the Public Lands Foundation for our work to advance and sustain community based stewardship of BLM lands. The District prides itself in providing a valuable service to the communities of Fremont County, WY while applying integrated pest management practices which consider the environment, the economy, and the well-being of our resources.
We are looking for a full time, benefited Assistant Supervisor to oversee specific District weed management projects, public outreach and education programs, and biological control programs within Fremont County, WY. Starting salary up to $53,500 per year depending on education and experience.
