June unemployment numbers for Wyoming were released this week, and Fremont County is slightly lower than it was this time last year.
In June 2017, the unemployment rate was 5.4% and June 2018 was 5.2%.
That is, however, still the highest current unemployment rate in the state, a title that Fremont County has held all but one month so far in 2018.
Wyoming’s unemployment rate, overall for June 2018 was 3.7%, down from June 2017’s 4% unemployment. Wyoming’s average is slightly less than the current United States average of 4%.
Teton County currently is reporting the state’s lowest unemployment numbers at 2.4%, followed by Crook County at 3.1%.
Natrona had the second-highest unemployment rate after Fremont County, at 4.7% and Uinta County at 4.5%.
