    Fremont County sex offender escapes from Casper re-entry center

    Wyoming authorities are searching for a registered sex offender who walked away from a re-entry center in Casper Thursday.

    Cody Mikkel Schlosser, 26, is a Fremont County native who was charged with sexual assault and kidnapping. In 2016, he was sentenced to over 3 years in prison for his crimes. He was also registered as a lifetime sex offender in 2014.

    The Casper Star-Tribune describes the Casper Re-Entry Center as an “alternative to incarceration or traditional probation/parole supervision.” At least a dozen people have escaped from the facility the past three years according to the Star-Tribune.

    Schlosser is described as 6’2, 215 lbs. He has blonde hair and green eyes.
