Fremont County School Dristrict No. 1 held a special meeting last night in Lander to interview and select an interim board member to finish Jeff Goodrich’s term.
Board Chairman Brett Berg noted they received thirteen letters of interest to fill the vacancy. One person withdrew their application leaving twelve to be intereviewed at the special meeting last night. Three of the twelve were not able to be at the meeting in person, but submitted either a video or a letter.

Berg shares the meeting went really well and was impressed by the pool of candidates. In a unanimous decision by the Board of Trustees, Scott Jensen was appointed to fill the vacancy.
Berg says, “[He] looks forward to working with the board and Scott on trying to do what’s best for the students.”
