Lander resident Bruce Palmer presented a petition to the Fremont County School District No. 1 at the Tuesday evening board meeting questioning the residency of Board Member Jeff Goodrich.
Palmer notes, “Jeff Goodrich began employment outside of Fremont County, Wyoming on July 1st, 2019.” It is also reported Jeff’s house in Lander sits empty and is for sale.
Board Chairman Brett Berg said, “To my knowledge, Mr. Goodrich is still a resident of the district.” The board has not received a letter of resignation and are taking Jeff at his word that he is a resident.
The board is taking this petition under advisement and Chairman Berg has requested Superintendent Dr. Dave Barker have a conversation with their counsel.
