Fremont County School District #1 (FCSD #1) will continue remote learning for the rest of the 2019-20 school year.
After consulting with Fremont County Public Health Officer Dr. Brian Gee, FCSD #1 held a special board meeting to discuss extending the school closure through the end of the school year, Superintendant Dave Barker. During the discussion, the board voted to close schools through the end of the school year and would reconvene to discuss the possibility of allowing a limited number of exceptions should the need arise.
A statement released by State Superintendent Balow released last week outlines the process school districts must use in order to allow certain students back in the buildings. These exceptions need to be discussed and approved by the state health officer through the county health officer.
