The Abandonded Mine Lands Native Plants Project has involved Fremont County organizations and students.
Last week, we shared the Wyoming Honor Farm in Riverton built a greenhouse to grow sagebrush seedlings. The Nature Conservancy in Lander also opened a seed lab to engineer native seed pods so there is a better likelihood of thriving. You can read the full story here.
As part of the program’s educational outreach, Lander Middle School students will be planting sagebrush seedlings in Fremont County as well. You can read the full story here.
